About Mark Midwinter
Professional drummer with live and studio experience - based in Reading UK. I’ve been playing the drums for 35+ years and love what I do for a living.
I’ve always been a drummer that focuses on what the drums can do for a song in terms of musicality and put groove and feel at the top of the list rather than the chops. My favourite drummers are guys like James Gadson, Clyde Stubblefield, Jeff Porcaro, Ringo Starr, Bernard Purdie, Steve Gadd, David Garibaldi and Ash Soan (to name a few!) - guys who can play incredibly great feeling time.
I love all the production aspects of recording drums as well and have a remote recording studio where I record live drums for artists and bands for their own music.
Out of the production work I’ve also been involved with producing EPs for singer songwriters and church recordings (including Vineyard Worship UK), including songs I have written and produced and are available on iTunes/Spotify etc.
